Welcome Letter
Friends and colleagues-
My fiancée and I are excited to invite you to Paris, France for the 121st annual meeting of the New York section of the AUA. The meeting begins on Sunday, October 5 and concludes October 11, 2025. It has been nearly a decade and a half since the New York section visited Paris, a city where many of us have traveled, and others have as a bucket list destination. We are excited to offer unique experiences as part of our package afforded to us as we are traveling as a large group.
The meeting will be at the L’Hotel du Collectionneur in the 8th arrondissement, a short distance from the Eiffel Tower and L’ Arc De Triomphe. Arrivals are recommended on Sunday, October 5 with hotel check-ins that afternoon. There will be walking tours and a welcome reception that evening at the hotel. The scientific program begins the following morning, Monday October 6.
The scientific program will be held every morning other than Wednesday, with afternoon excursions including the Luxembourg Gardens, the neighborhood of Montmartre and private tours at the Louvre Museum and Musee D’Orsay. Please be prepared to enjoy all the unique art, wine, food and shopping that Paris offers.
On Wednesday we will be taking a mid-morning train ride to Reims to enjoy a tour of the Veuve Clicquot Champagne house and the Reims Cathedral.
Our program concludes on Friday night with our Gala.
The scientific program is being planned by our committee with Dr. Steven Kaplan as chair and Drs. Nirit Rosenblum, John Sfakianos and Alex Epelbaum.
Departures will take place on Saturday October 11.
We are looking forward to all of you celebrating the New York Section Annual Meeting with us with a one-of-a-kind Paris experience.
Tom Rechtschaffen and Diane May
