Dear Members of the New York Section and other colleagues,
The Educational Multi-Institutional Program for Instructing REsidents (EMPIRE) urology collaborative was originally launched in the spring of 2020 as a mechanism of sustaining resident educational opportunities during the pandemic. This initiative has since grown into a platform for teaching and mentoring trainees within the Section and beyond.
The mission of EMPIRE is to leverage the collective expertise of our member institutions to encourage academic collaboration and develop durable educational content. The collaborative also seeks to develop community-building and professional networking opportunities for Section members at all stages of their training and careers.
