| Program Description |
The Urology Residency Program at The Smith Institute for Urology, Northwell Health System trains physicians to become highly qualified and board-certified urologists with the skills to advance into community or academic practice. With close mentorship, exceptional surgical case volume, progressive autonomy, and strong support for research, we train our residents to join our field prepared for the breadth of urologic conditions they will encounter throughout their careers. We consider our residency a family, foster an environment of teamwork, and teach each other every day. Our urology residency is a dynamic, highly structured program, with active mentoring by leadership and faculty throughout our many teaching hospitals and ambulatory sites. We prepare our residents to become leaders in their communities, profession and excel in an ever-changing healthcare landscape. We continually work to create, support, and sustain the growth of a just and equitable environment among all trainees, students, and staff, and attain health equity for all patients. |
