| Program Description |
Our five-year, ACGME-accredited program is dedicated to producing competent, conscientious and collaborative urologic surgeons to heal, to teach, to discover and to advance the health of the communities we serve and each other. Our residents get operative experience early, and quickly develop autonomy in evaluating and managing patients. Residents also receive a high volume of experience in subspecialties like endourology, urologic oncology, female pelvic reconstructive surgery, pediatric urology and male prosthetic surgery, as well as balanced exposure to various surgical approaches, including endoscopic, robotic and open surgery. We are located in the Bronx and play an integral role in supporting the urologic health of the Bronx community. Residents play an important role in the care team and are highly valued by our patients. Most importantly, our residents have a strong relationship with each other and continuously look to educate, mentor, and support each other in and outside of the hospital.
