Our department and accredited residency program is under the leadership of Chairman David B. Samadi, M.D. The highly selective six-year Urology Residency Program accepts one applicant per year. The first two years are spent in general surgery, and postgraduate years 3-6 are spent in Urology. In addition, postgraduate year (PGY) 4 residents spend six months doing a clinical and research rotation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). PGY 5 residents rotate at Westchester Medical Center in Pediatric Urology for three months. Residents are presented with the opportunity to care for a wide variety of patients who present with a broad range of urological diseases.
